When you move with Shamrock this is what we recommend when it comes to clothes and other soft goods. We will provide 8-10 Wardrobe boxes for you on the Day of the move that you can use Free of charge to move your hanging clothes from your old residence into the closets of your new residence. Filling the wardrobes is extremely easy and each one takes about a minute. We can also help you with this if you like.
For other clothes there are 3 ways we recommend moving them. First you can take all folded clothes from closets, armoires or large dressers and place them in medium or large boxes, this way they stay folded, clean and ready to put back in the closet or furniture item easily at the new residence. Secondly there are some smaller, solid (no press-board or IKEA) dressers, chests or drawers or cedar chests that can be left full with soft items like clothes for the duration of the move as they are non breakable don’t add a significant weight to the piece. Finally we also can move your clothes, linens and other soft goods in drawstring, heavy duty garbage bags. Some movers won’t take your goods like this so make sure you ask, but we’re ok with it as long as the bags are strong and have a tie on top. The garbage bags are obviously a more cost efficient way to move clothes over boxes but remember all the clothing will have to be re-folded when you get to the new location adding some additional work you.
